We run a range of seminars and specialist training courses for staff development on scientific, technical and regulatory topics. These are relevant to companies operating in the industry and are open to BCA members and non-members. We can also organise and run training courses for companies in-house.

Specialist training courses for education and professional development

An Introduction to Surfactants provides non-chemists or chemists with a limited knowledge of surfactant chemistry with a basic understanding of surfactants and how they work and are used.

Surfactants and their Applications and Formulating with Surfactants provide chemists with an understanding of surface chemistry with more detailed information on the properties and applications of commonly used surfactants and practical guidance on the development of surfactant-based formulated products.

An Introduction to Microbiology and Advanced Microbiology provide those working in microbiology and the formulation of biocidal products with an understanding of microbiology and aspects of biochemistry.

An Introduction to Regulatory Affairs provides an overview of the legislation applicable to companies operating in the chemical industry.

If you would like more information about upcoming events or would like information about an in-house event for your business please get in touch here.

Conferences and seminars

As well as our training courses, we run seminars organised by the sector groups on sector specific topics of scientific, technical and regulatory interest. Seminars often cover subjects such as sustainability and innovation and are a great way for members to learn and network with peers.
