We represent members’ interests through engagement in the UK with Government, the regulators and other stakeholders in the UK and through involvement at the European level. Engagement means we can work to shape the regulatory landscape and on the design of legislation to minimise the adverse impact on industry whilst meeting the regulatory outcomes it is intended to achieve.

At the European level, BCA is a member of the European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients and the Biocides for Europe and CESIO surfactant producers sector groups of Cefic. We also contribute to the work of the European standards organisation CEN.
